Yogi Babu recently got a gift from former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The former Indian skipper has signed a cricket bat and gifted it to the Tamil comedy superstar. Yogi Babu took to Twitter to share a photo of himself holding the cricket bat with MS Dhoni's autograph. Back in December 2022, actor Vijay surprised Yogi Babu with a cricket bat to convey his fondness for him. MS Dhoni appears to have learned about Yogi Babu's enthusiasm for cricket and has now presented him with an autographed bat. The popular comedian not only tweeted a photo of Dhoni's bat, but also praised the great Chennai Super Kings player for the thoughtful gesture in a video, which he captioned, "Direct from #MSDhoni hands which he played in nets . Yogi Babu has several big projects in his lineup among which also includes MS Dhoni's production debut, Let's Get Married, being produced under the cricketer's Dhoni Entertainment banner. Being directed by debutant Ramesh Thamilmani, the comedian will be seen in a supporting role alongside Nadiya, while Harish Kalyan and Love Today fame Ivana are the lead pair. The Let's Get Married's motion poster was recently released and the film is touted to be a light-hearted rom-com and appears to be about a road journey.

Yogi Babu's last big release was the Pa. Ranjith production venture, Bommai Nayagi, which went on to receive positive reviews. He will be next seen in upcoming biggies like 'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Jailer being directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan in Hindi under Atlee's direction. Some other films he will make appearances include the comedy multi-starrer Kasethan Kadavulada, Prashanth's Andhagan, Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran and Ayalaan, Shiva's Saloon to name a notable few.
