Nandamuri Balakrishna popularly known as Balayya or Balayyababu is a Telugu actor turned politician and was last seen in his father NTR’s two-part biopic titled NTR: Kathanayakudu and NTR: Mahanayakudu earlier this year.

Balakrishna is a standing MLA from Hindupur District for the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and is at present working in Kranthi under V V Vinayak's direction. As the date for the 2019 Lok Sabha Assembly elections is nearing, Balayyaa was campaigning for the party at Cheepurupalli in the Vizianagaram district.

Meanwhile, a video has now gone viral showing Balayya physically attacking his own party cadre for trying to take a selfie photograph with him and has been receiving a negative response from the public.

The local party man fearing a backlash in the upcoming election tried to pacify Balakrishna and the victim. In the unclear and hazy video, Balayya’s actions are easily identified. It must be noted Balayya was in news not long back for assaulting a cameraman and several other people.
