A while back, it was announced that a sequel to the hit 2015 film, Maari, was in development.
The action comedy starring Dhanush, Kajal Aggarwal, Robo Shankar, Vijay Yesudas under Balaji Mohan’s direction went on to become a hit among the audiences with its power-packed music by Anirudh Ravichander.
Now, director Balaji has officially unveiled the official logo of the sequel titled, Maari 2, which will roll into production later this month.

Maari 2 will once again feature Dhanush as the film’s lead.
Sai Pallavi joins the Maari 2 cast as the heroine.
In addition, actor Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is set to play a crucial role alongside Dhanush and Sai Pallavi.
Pandigai star Krishna Kulasekaran is included in the cast for a vital role.
Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas has been cast as the villain in the film.
Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is heading back to scoring music for a Dhanush film after nearly a decade.
Yuvan had last scored for a film starring Dhanush in the lead in the 2008 smash hit, Yaaradi Nee Mohini.
He did churn out tunes for Dhanush’s production venture, Vai Raja Vai, in 2015, which was directed by his Aishwarya R. Dhanush.
