Popular Tamil actor Vetri, who played the lead role in films like 8 Thottakkal and Jiivi, tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony recently. Photos of the newly-wed couple are doing the rounds on social media, with wishes pouring in from fans and celebrities alike. The director of Vetri's next film, Bumper, M. Selvakumar took to Facebook to extend his hearty wishes to the newly-married couple, while also sharing a couple of pictures from the ceremony that was attended by near and dear ones. Vetri made heads turn in his acting debut in the 2017 crime thriller 8 Thottakkal, which saw him playing the role of a cop. The film directed by Sri Ganesh and also starring Soorarai Pottru heroine Aparna Balamurali, veteran actors M. S. Bhaskar and Nassar, followed by Manikandan, Mime Gopi among others turned out to be a success at the box office, while also being showered with praises by fans and critics alike. The actor's second film was the 2019 thriller, Jiivi, and featured him as a town youth, who comes to Chennai city in search of a job and gets involved in an incident that has life-altering consequences. Vetri had two releases in 2021 -     C/O Kaadhal and Vanam. 

As for his upcoming ventures, Vetri is currently attached to several films starting with the upcoming psychological thriller titled Memories, which is said to be in the final stages of post-production. He was also recently announced to be cast opposite Bigg Boss Tamil season 4 sensation Shivani Narayanan in Bumper and also has films like Kannagi and Red Sandal that are in various stages of development.
