Vijay Sethupathi's Sanga Thamizhan is directed by Vijay Chandar who has earlier directed STR's Vaalu and Chiyaan Vikram's Sketch. The movie has two gorgeous ladies in the name of Nivetha Pethuraj and Raashi Khanna as female leads and other stars like John Vijay, Soori and Nassar will also be seen playing vital roles in this movie. Sanga Thamizhan is bankrolled by Vijaya Production and film has the duo of Vivek-Mervin composing the music. R Velraj has handled the camera with Praveen KL making the cuts.

Initially, Sanga Thamizhan was slated to hit the screens for Diwali 2019 alongside Vijay's Bigil and Karthi's Kaithi but there was a buzz that the film might have an early release. The production side cleared the air a couple of days back by announcing that Sanga Thamizhan will indeed be releasing for this Diwali as planned.

The latest update about the film is that the Tamil Nadu rights of Sanga Thamizhan has been sold to a popular brand for a whopping 11 Crores. With some healthy business numbers, Vijay Sethupathy is gearing up for a grand clash this Diwali.
