Latest: Vishal to take over as the director of Thupparivaalan 2 after disagreements with Mysskin
Rumours were doing rounds for the past few days stating that director Mysskin might no longer be a part of Thupparivaalan 2, starring Vishal in the lead role. It was reported that Mysskin and Vishal had different opinions over the film’s budget and it was said that Mysskin asked for an additional budget of Rs 40 crores to complete the rest of the film, which didn’t go well with Vishal. Additionally, it was said that Vishal might take over the responsibilities as the director of the film going forward.
This created a huge buzz on social media and the fans were quite confused. Following that, Vishal has now confirmed the development to a popular media house. Vishal has stated that the news is true. Mysskin, while talking to Times of India about the issue, had a sarcastic reply. He was quoted as saying, “No, I didn’t ask for 40 crores. I’ve asked 400 crores. I have finished 50 per cent of the film in 100 crore. I have asked for another 100 crores for the rest of the film. For the climax portion alone, which will feature a scene of Vishal jumping from a satellite, I want an additional 100 crores. So yes, I have asked for 400 crores.”
An official tweet or a press statement from Vishal is awaited, in this regard. It is said that Vishal and Mysskin would meet very soon and come to a mutual agreement after which Vishal will take over as the director and complete the rest of the film. Produced by Vishal Film Factory, Thupparivaalan 2 features Prasanna, Gautami, Rahman, Nassar, in the star cast and has music scored by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja.
