'Captain' Vijayakanth's son gets engaged - check out the viral pictures!

Actor turned politician, Vijayakanth, who is fondly called as ‘Captain’ by his fans, has been on a sabbatical for a while owing to his health conditions and had also traveled to the United States for treatment. The President of the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam party (DMDK) had returned from the US leaving his party members and followers mighty elated. Vijayakanth and his wife Premalatha have two sons - Vijaya Prabhakaran and Shanmuga Pandian with the elder son also making appearances in a few films apart from taking part in his father’s political party-related activities while also joining him in his campaigns.

Now, there’s more good news from Vijayakanth's family as Vijaya Prabhakaran, the eldest of the two sons, has gotten engaged to Keerthana, the daughter of stamp vendor, Ilango, from Periyanayakkanpalayam, Coimbatore. Photos of their engagement have gone viral on social networking forums with fans and followers conveying their hearty wishes to the couple. Vijaya Prabhakaran’s engagement to Keerthana is said to have been a simple ceremony and had taken place in the presence of family members.
