Recently, the Government of Tamil Nadu granted permission for the film industry to resume shooting with a maximum of 75 members on the set. The Government has released a set of guidelines to be followed by the people on the film sets. With that being said, a lot of small scale and medium scale projects have resumed production with a minimal crew. It has now been revealed that Vijay Antony has begun shooting for his untitled next directed by Ananda Krishnan of Metro fame.

Yes! The shooting of this political action drama featuring Vijay Antony began today (September 4) with all safety precautions taken. Meesaya Murukku fame Aathmika will be seen as the female lead in this film that is produced by TD Raja of Chendhur Film International. Dhananjayan's Creative Entertainers and Distributors, in association with Infiniti Film Ventures will present the film in a grand manner. On the technical front, this project will have music scored by Metro fame Johan and cinematography by N.S.Udhayakumar.

Vijay Antony posted a tweet last night informing the fans that he will be getting back to work from today for the well being of his producers. He tweeted, "என்னை நம்பி, என்னை வைத்து படம் தயாரித்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் என் தயாரிப்பாளர்களுக்காகவும், என் இயக்குனர்களுக்காகவும் மற்றும் FEFSI தொழிலாளிகளுக்காகவும் நாளை முதல் சரியான பாதுகாப்புடன், நான் படப்பிடிப்பில் பங்கேற்க உள்ளேன். நம்பிக்கையுடன் நான்". Vijay Antony’s tweet is loosely translated as, “I will be taking part in film shooting from tomorrow for the well being of my producers, directors and FEFSI workers who have believed in me. All safety measures will be taken.”

Apart from this film, Vijay Antony has Thamezharasan, Khakhi, Agni Siragugal, Pichaikkaran 2, and an untitled film directed by Balaji Kumar of Vidiyum Munn fame and all these projects are in different stages of production. Going by the current developments, Thamezharasan, directed by Babu Yogeswaran will be the first film that will hit the screens followed by Khakhi and Agni Siragugal. Pichaikkaran 2 happens to be an interesting venture as it marks Vijay Antony’s debut as a screenplay writer. Baaram fame Priya Krishnaswamy will be directing Pichaikkaran 2 which is expected to go on floors towards the end of this year or early next year. Vijay Antony is turning out to be a bankable hero in Tamil cinema and the number of projects in his line up is the example. Check out his tweet below:
