Venkat Prabhu's long pending films gets released on Netflix and later removed!
Director Venkat Prabhu’s long pending production venture is RK Nagar which features the likes of Vaibhav, Inigo Prabhakaran and Sana Althaf in the lead roles. This comedy thriller is directed by Saravana Rajan and has Sampath, Anjena Kriti, Santhana Bharathi, Subbu Panchu, Premji Amaran, Karunakaran and others in important roles. The director of the film Saravana Rajan has clarified that the film is not political, but according to the teaser, it shows multitudes of political scenarios which took place in Tamil Nadu during the period of 2015 - 2017.
Saravana Rajan had previously made Vadacurry which had Jai in the lead role. RK Nagar happens to be his second film. This project was announced way back in 2017 and has been in the dark for close to 2 years now. Early, today morning the film was released on Netflix with or without the knowledge of RK Nagar team. Now after being on the OTT platform for over 6 hours, the film has now been removed from Netflix. But unfortunately, the film was long enough on Netflix for piracy websites to rip it off and upload it on their platforms. This sure is not good news for the RK Nagar team.
The film starts with school teacher committing suicide after her bathing video gets leaked by the students. However, the film is not completely about this at it takes a different shape thereon. Stay tuned for complete movie review of RK Nagar.
