Kate Beckinsale, who is best known for starring in the blockbuster Underworld franchise, had been staying at the MGM Grand for the shooting for her upcoming film, Prisoner’s Daughter, TMZ has reported. The actress was rushed to a nearby hospital after her back gave out. Although there is no clarity on what her condition is, she is still reportedly in the emergency room (ER). Earlier on Thursday, Beckinsale posted a photo from her time in the city on Instagram and wrote, "Oops. #Vegas," in which she is seen wearing a long white lace dress.

Back in 2019, Kate Beckinsale revealed that she had a ruptured ovarian cyst. She posted a photo with tears and an oxygen cannula in her nose while lying in a hospital bed, including another picture with her back turned around. She wrote, "Turns out a ruptured ovarian cyst really hurts and morphine makes me cry. So thankful to everyone who looked after me," she captioned her post. Outside of her work on the Underworld films, Kate Beckinsale is known for her roles in films like Serendipity, Click, Van Helsing and Pearl Harbor to name a notable few. As for her upcoming projects, the actress will be seen alongside Brian Cox in Prisoner’s Daughter. Touted to be a dramatic thriller, the film also starring Ernie Hudson and Tyson Ritter will follow ex-con (Max) attempting to reconnect with his daughter (Beckinsale) and grandson after being in prison for 12 years.
