It is that time of the day, when the official number of #COVID-19 Novel Corona Virus cases in Tamil Nadu, are given out. Today, again looks like a tough day with the new number of positive cases being above 50! We have today's numbers for you, here! Tamil Nadu has had 54 new cases of COVID positive being reported in the state. Of this, 15 new cases have been identified in Chennai alone, taking the district's total to 400. There have been 5 new cases in Salem, 4 in Namakkal, 3 each in Dindigul and Virudhunagar, 2 in Madurai and 1 each in Chengalpet, Dharmapuri, Ramnad, Tenkasi, Tanjore, Tirunelveli, Tiruppur, Tirupathur, Tiruvarur and Villupuram!

There have been 2 new Corona Virus related deaths in the state, taking the overall death toll to 20. On the positive front, we have had 90 new cases of recovery & discharge, with the total number of recovered people going up to 752. It would be good to see the numbers coming down over the coming days, before stopping altogether. Flattening the Curve is important and it can only be achieved if we stay home and stay safe! We have now gotten to know from the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare that the number of RT-PCR tests, which are used to diagnose the Corona Virus, has gone up by 33 times within just a month. The number of tests conducted as of March 23 were 14,915 while they have crossed over 5 Lakhs in number, as of April 22!
