99 Songs is an upcoming musical romance film directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy. AR Rahman marks his debut as a screenplay writer with this ambitious project that’s been in the making for over 5 years. Apart from being a writer, AR Rahman has also bankrolled the film which stars new faces Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas. AR Rahman has composed the original score and songs and it is going to be a musical treat for his fans. The film is a sensual story about art and self-discovery of a struggling singer who wants to be a successful music composer. 99 Songs is a Hindi film which will be dubbed and released in Tamil and Telugu.

AR Rahman who has been working on the soundtrack for 4–5 years has now released the first track titled The Oracle. The soundtrack also features some international artists including Zayn Malik. Lyrics for Hindi songs have been writtne by Navneet Virk, Prasoon Joshi, & Gulzar.
