'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast is set to open in cinemas worldwide on April 13 and the demand for the tickets in advance bookings in theatres everywhere has been nothing else than astounding. Nelson Dilipkumar, who made an impressive directorial debut with Kolamaavu Kokila, followed it up with the blockbuster Doctor and is now coming out with his biggest work in his career with the upcoming Sun Pictures venture, which is a high-octane mass action thriller. With promotions underway, broadcasting television giant Sun TV on Sunday telecast an interview with Vijay and Nelson, which is currently the talk of the town, with the duo discussing several moments from the making of Beast and much more.
During the Beast Sun TV interview, Vijay went on to share an interesting story about a meeting with Premam director Alphonse Puthren. The superstar said, "Alphonse came to meet me once. I thought he was going to narrate a story to me. However, he came asking for my son (Jason Sanjay) and said that he wanted to discuss a story with him. I liked the story after hearing him narrate and it was about a boy-next-door character. Deep down, I wanted Sanjay to agree to do the film. I too told about this to Sanjay, but he told me that he didn't want anything now and requested me to inform the same to sir (Alphonse). He said he needs two more years to think about this and I too accepted his decision."
Vijay then added, "I don't know whether Sanjay is going to work behind the camera or will appear on screen as an actor. But, whatever he decides, it will give me happiness and I will support him." Vijay and Sanjay have rarely been seen together in public, with the star kid only appearing once on the big screen in the 'Naan Adicha' song in the 2009 film Vettaikaaran.
