Taapsee's cricketer biopic film title revealed - check out who it is based on!

Taapsee Pannu has established herself to be a pan-Indian actress after starting out in South India and then gradually making a transition to Bollywood. A major name now in Hindi cinema, Taapsee has gone on to star in several big films in 2019 among which include Badla alongside Amitabh Bachchan, the psychological thriller, Game Over, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and the recently-released biographical sports drama, Saand Ki Aankh. Meanwhile, it was announced a while back that Taapsee had signed up for a biopic based on the former Captain of Indian Women's Cricket team, Mithali Raj. The Aadukalam actress has now taken to her social networking pages to convey her wishes to Mithali Raj while also revealing her upcoming biopic will be titled Shabaash Mithu. Shabaash Mithu will be directed by Rahul Dholakia of Raees fame under the Viacom18 Studios banner. The upcoming Mithali Raj biopic incidentally will be the fourth sports-based film for Taapsee after last year’s Soorma, Saand Ki Aankh, which came out in October and the upcoming Rashmi Rocket, in which she will be seen playing the role of a fictional Gujarati athlete. Apart from Shabaash Mithu, Taapsee will also be seen in Tamil opposite Jayam Ravi in his next action film to be directed by Ahmed of Manithan fame.
