Earlier this morning (December 3), Superstar Rajinikanth made the much awaited announcement regarding his political party launch. Taking to his Twitter page, Rajinikanth said that the party will be officially launched in January 2021 and the date of launch will be revealed on December 31. This news made his fans and followers excited and it has already become a hot topic in the state. Following the announcement, Rajinikanth met the press and media and explained in detail about his political plans. During the interaction, he also shared an update about the current status of his film, Annaatthe.

Talking to the media, the legendary actor said, "As you all know, I have a commitment to complete the shooting of Annaatthe. I still have 40% of shooting left and I will have to complete it before getting into politics in full swing,". It has now officially come out that Rajinikanth still has 40% of shoot to be done and we can expect him to complete it by early next year. According to reports, director Siva is currently busy planning the schedules, following the Covid-19 norms. The team of Annaatthe will be extra careful with the safety of Superstar Rajinikanth and further updates are awaited.

It is said that the new schedule of the film will most likely resume this month with a limited crew. Annaatthe is Rajinikanth's next release after Darbar and the fans have got huge expectations on this mega biggie. The film features four female leads that include Khushbu Sundar, Meena, Keerthy Suresh, and Nayanthara. Prakash Raj, Soori, and Sathish play supporting roles. Annaatthe will reportedly deal with the relationship between an elder brother (Rajinikanth) and a younger sister (Keerthy Suresh) and their relationship is said to be the core anchor of the film.

Sun Pictures has planned to bankroll and execute this project in a grand style. Director Siva's last outing was Viswasam which turned out to be a huge blockbuster across the theatres in Tamil Nadu. He'd be looking forward to continuing the streak with Annaatthe as well. The film will have music scored by D Imman and he is scoring music for a Rajinikanth film for the first time. The intro song in the film has been crooned by late SP Balasubrahmanyam and the fans are eagerly waiting to listen to the song.
