Rockstar Anirudh will be scoring the music for this movie, for which shooting is currently underway in Delhi. It has come to light through singer and actor Soundarya Nandakumar's Twitter page that she has been signed up for a role in Thalapathy 64! Soundarya, who shot to fame after participating in the reality show Super Singer. She gained further fame after playing a part in the popular TV show Pagal Nilavu. She also made a brief appearance in the Superstar Rajinikanth movie Kabali and is highly popular for her lead roles in the viral shortfilms Yours Shamefully and Yours Shamefully 2, directed by Vignesh Karthick.

The cast of Thalapathy 64 already has Malavika Mohanan as the female lead and also includes Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, Anthony Varghese, Andreah Jeremiah, Ramya Subramaniam, Gouri Kishan, Brigida, Lintu Rony, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Sriman, Prem, Sanjeev, Srinath and Chetan, among others! Rockstar Anirudh is composing the music for this movie! Philomin Raj is taking care of the editing while Sathyan Sooriyan is in charge of the cinematography.
