Director Sudha Kongara rose to fame after the superhit success of Irudhi Suttru. She is now all geared up and waiting for the grand release of her next film, Soorarai Pottru that stars Suriya in the lead role. The film, which is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan, is scheduled to release on November 12 on Amazon Prime Video streaming platform. The teaser and trailer, along with few other promos have shown immense promise and it looks like Sudha Kongara has a winner in hand. Soorarai Pottru has got huge expectations and Sudha has already become one of the most sought after directors in Tamil cinema.

She is rumoured to team up with actor Ajith Kumar for her next directorial, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Sudha is also awaiting the release of her Netflix anthology film, Paava Kadhaigal, in which she has teamed up with three other filmmakers - Vetri Maaran, Gautham Vasudev Menon and Vignesh Shivan.

Meanwhile, Sudha Kongara will be a happy person on the personal front, as well. Yes! Sudha's daughter, Uttra Kongara is all set to enter wedlock. She would be getting married to Vignesh and the wedding will take place tomorrow (November 4) at 9 AM. The couple got engaged on August 14 in the presence of their families and it was a lowkey event. A grand reception event was held recently in Chennai and Sudha's very close friends from the film industry turned up for it. Sudha's mentor and director Mani Ratnam, along with Suhasini graced the occasion and blessed the couple. GV Prakash and his sister Bhavani Sre were also present at the event.

Suriya, who shares a very good friendship with Sudha Kongara, was also there at the reception and he looked super smart and stylish. The fans are already excited about Suriya's new look and people are curious to know which film is he sporting this look for.
