STR might have had a forgettable 2019 but this year seems to be fruitful for the Manmadan actor who has reduced quite a lot of weight. Every passing day is bringing out some exciting update or the other on STR and his fans are reveling in these. For today's count, we have an interesting update about his upcoming political dram Maanaadu. Yesterday, it was revealed that STR’s name in the film would be Abdul Khaaliq and now Suresh Kamatchi, the producer of Maanaadu has announced that Manoj Bharathiraja will be playing a pivotal role in this political drama. Comedy specialist Daniel Pope and Veteran actor YG Mahendran have also been roped in to feature in Maanaadu. And it looks like SJ Suryah will be playing the baddie in the film!

Kalyani Priyadarshan has been brought on-board to play STR’s pair while the likes of Bharathiraja and Thalapathy Vijay's father SA Chandrasekar, Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren are part of the supporting cast list. If everything goes as per plan, Maanaadu would be hitting the screens in August, 2020. Richard M Nathan will be handling the cinematography while editor Praveen KL would be handling the chops. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be the man in charge of the tunes. STR is all set to start shooting for this long-delayed project. More details coming your way!
