Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero which released towards the end of last year, got decent reviews and was appreciated for its noble intent and a thoughtful premise. The film received a good reception from the family audience. Produced by KJR Studios, Hero was directed by P.S.Mithran of Irumbu Thirai fame and had music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. This emotional action drama featured an ensemble star cast that had Bollywood actor Abhay Deol playing the villain and it was his debut in Tamil cinema. Kalyani Priyadarshan was seen as the female lead while Action King Arjun, Robo Shankar, Naachiyaar fame Ivana formed the supporting cast.

For those who haven’t seen the film yet, it is streaming officially on Amazon Prime Video. The Telugu dubbed version of the film was titled Shakthi and it was scheduled to release on March 20 in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. However, due to the unexpected outbreak of the pandemic the plans were scrapped and the film was released directly on Prime Video. Now, it has been revealed that Shakthi has been released on AHA OTT streaming app for Telugu fans. Yes! AHA made the announcement about the addition of Shakthi in their database this evening and it has made the fans happy. Sivakarthikeyan’s fans and followers in AP & Telangana can now probably watch the film on AHA platform.

For the uninformed, AHA is an OTT platform exclusively for Telugu movies and this streaming platform is owned by veteran producer Allu Aravind and his son Allu Arjun, who is a Superstar in Tollywood. AHA is streaming two of the recently acclaimed Telugu films, Krishna And His Leela and Bhanumathi & Ramakrishna. The Telugu dubbed versions of notable Tamil films like NGK, Kaithi, 36 Vayadhinile, are also streaming on the said platform and the latest to join that list is Hero (Shakthi).

Talking about SK’s next set of projects, he has Doctor and Ayalaan which are in different stages of production. Doctor will mostly release first and it is directed by Nelson of Kolamaavu Kokila fame. The makers released the first single - Chellamma from the film recently and it has turned out to be an instant chartbuster. Then, there is Ayalaan which is a sci-fi thriller directed by R Ravikumar of Indru Netru Naalai fame.
