Prince Sivakarthikeyan donates Rs. 10 Lakhs to FEFSI workers!

In light of the rampantly spreading Corona Virus pandemic, almost all the industries in our nation have come to a standstill and a lockdown has been issued in 75 districts of the country. Earlier, the FEFSI union had announced that all shooting would be stopped from March 19th, to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus due to large gatherings of people. Most of the members of FEFSI earn their wages from daily shoots and with the shooting being put on a standstill till March 31st, they were left with no options to earn.

Earlier today, veteran actor Sivakumar and his sons Suriya & Karthi had jointly donated Rs. 10 Lakhs towards the welfare of the FEFSI union members and now, many others in the industry are following suit! It has just come to be known that Prince Sivakarthikeyan has also donated Rs. 10 Lakhs for the FEFSI workers. Though this would not entirely remunerate the earnings of the FEFSI employees, it would still come as a great relief for them with no income during the lockdown period.

Sivakarthikeyan has two projects in hand, including the science fiction movie Ayalaan and Doctor, with Nelson Dhilipkumar. It is indeed a wonderful gesture by Siva and if other top stars also follow suit, it would come as a major help to all the struggling workers who would not be able to earn during the Corona Virus lockdown period!
