Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming film, Doctor, under Kolamaavu Kokila director Nelson Dilipkumar's direction is one project of the leading actor that fans everywhere are mighty excited ever since it rolled into production. A joint production venture of Sivakarthikeyan’s SK Productions in association with Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios, promotions for the film has begun picking up pace, especially after the makers sometime back announced it will be a theatrical release and will come out in theatres worldwide on March 26. As fans are gearing up for the film's theatrical release, the much-awaited Doctor second single update is now out. Featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, the upcoming film touted to be a black comedy already had two songs released - 'Chellamma' and 'Nenjame' - both of which have received a tremendous response. 

Doctor is an important film for Sivakarthikeyan as it will be the actor-producer's first film in more than a year since his Hero in late 2019. A special video for the Doctor second single titled 'So Baby' is now out featuring Sivakarthikeyan, Anirudh and director Nelson Dilipkumar in which they once again continue their fun banter as was seen during the 'Chellame' song announcement. This new Doctor promo has dropped the reveal that the 'So Baby' song will be a Western Classical number coming out on February 25 and will feature lyrics penned by Sivakarthikeyan. There are massive expectations surrounding the film, especially after a motion poster was released teasing the tone of the plot, which up until now has been kept under wraps and will likely be a step away from the usual pattern of ventures Sivakarthikeyan has done to date. 

Doctor includes Telugu film Gang Leader heroine Priyanka Arul Mohan playing the female lead role, with Vinay Rai as the antagonist. Yogi Babu, Milind Soman, Arun Alexander, Sunil Reddy, and Reddin Kingsley are set to be seen in major important roles. The film, which has Kalai Arasu serving as the co-producer, also includes Vijay Karthik Kannan handling the cinematography, followed by R. Nirmal on editing. Among the others forming the technical crew are costume designer Pallavi Singh, art director D.R.K. Kiran, and Anbariv for the stunt choreography. 

Just like Doctor is a big film for Sivakarthikeyan, director Nelson Dilipkumar will be looking to hit the bullseye once again after his debut, Kolamaavu Kokila, in 2018. Considering Nelson has been announced to be the director of Vijay's next, Thalapathy 65, under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner and featuring music once again by Anirudh, fans are looking forward to how he will be faring with his Doctor on the critical front as well as at the box office.
