Silambarasan TR has been the talk of the town for sometime now, especially post his radical physical transformation, while also completing his upcoming Pongal 2021 release, Eeswaran, under Susienthiran's direction in a span of less than 45 days. Currently filming his Maanaadu at Pondicherry with director Venkat Prabhu, Simbu and the Eeswaran team had come across a roadblock after a video showing the star handling a live snake in a bush and putting it into a sack went viral on social media. Having said that, the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) has now sent a show cause notice to the producers of the film for the use of Computer Generated Snake (look-alike of Indian Cobra) in the teaser and poster without obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC).

The Animal Welfare Board of India in their notice further stated that the Eeswaran team must send in their response within 7 days as to why they didn't get the NOC, while also informing them to stop circulating the poster and teaser of the film. AWBI's statement is as follows:

"Sub: Show Cause Notice for Using Computer Generate Snake (Look-a-like of Indian Cobra) in the Movie trailer and postser of the Eeswaran Tamil Movie without obtaining NOC from the Board - Reg.

Produced by KV Durai & MDM Sharfudden under the D Company banner, the film will also be released in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. S.
