'Superstar' Rajnikanth's press meet earlier this week has generated quite a lot of debate among fans, the common folk and political analysts after the veteran actor's decision to not contest for the Chief Minister designation in the upcoming 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections left many surprised. Rajinikanth announced his decision to only be the party leader and not contest as a candidate for the CM position when a majority of the fans were expecting him to reveal the name of his political party in light of next year's TN elections.

In his statement, Rajinikanth had expressed his desire for a political revolution to happen with the youth at the centre of action after which he would step into active politics. With his decision and statements still being debated by many, Rajinikanth has now taken to his Twitter page to thank the media, the people and the members of the Rajini Makkal Mandram for taking efforts in getting his views out to all.

Rajinikanth's statement is as follows: "Be it a political change or a change in the government, it's never going to happen if not now. I thank the press, journalists and the members of the Rajini Makkal Mandram for conveying my views to everyone,". Check out his tweet below:
