Rajinikanth's Annaatthe gets Veeram actor Bala

'Superstar' Rajinikanth's upcoming film, Annaatthe, being directed by Siva under the Sun Pictures banner is progressing at a brisk pace ever since production kicked off towards the end of last year. Touted to be a rural family entertainer, the film is the third occasion Rajinikanth has joined hands with Sun Pictures after their Enthiran and Petta.

The buzz for Annaatthe is massive ever since the project went on floors last year with actor Bala now revealing in a video on his Facebook page that he has come on board the Rajinikanth film, which incidentally is the second time he is working with director Siva after Veeram in which he played 'Thala' Ajith's younger brother.

Bala revealed that 'Thalaivar Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Malayalam superstar Mammootty's Bilal are the big films he will be seen in 2020. Watch Bala speak about Annaatthe below:

Annaatthe includes a huge star cast featuring names like Meena, Khushbu,Keerthy Suresh, Prakash Raj, Soori, Sathish, Vela Ramamoorthy including actress Nayanthara, who is said to be playing a lawyer, which incidentally will be the first time she will be seen in such a role. Although not much is known about the plot of Annaatthe, it has been speculated for a while now that the film is being planned for a theatrical release in October as a Ayudha Puja holiday treat.
