In his official Facebook post, Lawrence shared that he is announcing this news with the permission and blessings of his idol, Superstar Rajinikanth. He also mentioned that the film will be directed by P Vasu who helmed the first part. Sun Pictures will bankroll this film on a huge scale. Lawrence, who would be getting an advance of Rs 3 crores for Chandramukhi 2, will donate the full money to Corona Relief Funds. He would be donating 50 lakhs each to PM - CARES Relief Fund, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, FEFSI Union, and Chennai Dancers Union.
