Actress Pooja Kumar rose to fame and got her breakthrough in Tamil cinema with her performance as Dr Nirupama in Kamal Haasan's highly acclaimed action drama, Vishwaroopam. Later, she acted in films like Uttama Villain, Vishwaroopam 2, and PSV Garuda Vega (Telugu). Recently, speculations were rife that Pooja Kumar would be seen playing one of the female leads in Kamal Haasan's next, Thalaivan Irukkindraan. However, there were no official confirmation regarding the same. Having said that, we thought of getting it clarified from Pooja herself and we asked about it in a recent Facebook live interaction with her.

While answering the question, she said she hasn't signed the film yet and as of now, she isn't a part. Pooja said, "Right now, I'm not there in the movie. They're scripting it. So, they haven't finished the casting yet. As of now, I haven't signed anything. But, you never know. Let's see what happens." It looks like we will have to wait for a few more months to get a better clarity on this, but as of now, it has been clarified that Pooja Kumar isn't a part of Thalaivan Irukkindraan.

Talking about this new project, it is going to be produced by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International in association with Lyca Productions. A.R.Rahman would be composing the music for this film. Even before the commencement of shoot, Thalaivan Irukkindraan has managed to create some huge expectations among the fans and ardent film buffs.
