One of the most acclaimed filmmakers in Tamil cinema right now, Pa. Ranjith has gone on to carve a niche for himself in the industry with his films Attakathi, Madras, Kabali and Kaala while also establishing himself as a producer with panache in Pariyerum Perumal and last year's Irandaam Ulaga Porin Kadaisi Gundu, made under his Neelam Productions banner. Having created an impact with his films, director Pa. Ranjith and his wife Anitha have now been blessed with a baby boy with the child's name revealed to be as Miliran, which means "as one who shines". On the work front, Pa. Ranjith is directing Arya in the upcoming boxing action drama film, Salpetta, which will revolve around the sport amidst a North Madras backdrop under the K9 Studios banner with music by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Murali. G and stunts by the Anbariv duo. The film will also see actor Santhosh Prathap as a boxer alongside Arya with plans to most likely bring it out in theatres later this year.
