Oviya is known for acting in films like Kalavani, Marina, Manmadan Ambu, Kalakalappu, Moodar Koodam, Madha Yaanai Koottam, Yaamirukka Bayamey, 144, etc. However, she got her biggest breakthrough with her participation in the first season of Bigg Boss and she earned a humongous fan base through the show. Post the show, she has been getting a lot of interesting offers and she also made her debut as a solo lead with the adult comedy film, 90 ML. Having said this, Oviya recently took to her Twitter space to ask the fans if the Bigg Boss Tamil show has to be banned.

She asked for the thoughts and opinions of the Tamil audience. “Do you agree or disagree to ban big boss show?”, tweeted Oviya. As expected, there were different answers - some wanted it to be banned while some wanted it to run for the fact that it acts as a source of entertainment. Oviya further added that the show producers and the channel management shouldn’t torture or put mental pressure on the contestants for their TRP rating.

She tweeted, “I wish they should not torture contestants until commit suicide for TRP”. She also talked about ‘Jaangiri’ Madhumitha’s controversial incident and defended her when fans said that she cut her hand for publicity. Oviya tweeted, “Noone will cut their own hand for publicity”. These answers have gone viral on social media. Bigg Boss Tamil had its first season premiered in 2017 and there has been no look back since then.

The fourth season should have been on progress right now, if the Corona scenario had not occurred. The makers are said to be waiting for the pandemic to end so that the show can be started. However, the Telugu Bigg Boss is all set to begin next month amidst the pandemic and the Telugu fans are already excitedly waiting for the show to begin.

Talking about Oviya, the sensational actress was last seen in the comedy drama, Kalavani 2, co-starring Vemal. Up next, she would be seen shaking a leg for a song in Bigg Boss Aarav’s upcoming film, Rajabheema, directed by Naresh Sampath.
