Shaji Padoor, who made his directorial debut with Abrahaminte Santhathikal, is all set to present a survival thriller that will have Namitha Pramod in the lead. Reports have been stating that the film has been titled Nirbhaya and it is set to go on floors from this month. It is being said that the film will have a closer take on the Indian Legal System and will have a strong story attached to it. A report in a leading daily also states that this character that Namitha is playing will be one of the strongest characters she has ever played.
Sharing the title, Namitha wrote, “I’m extremely happy and proud to announce my next movie with the superhit director Shaji Padoor after Abrahaminte Santhathikal. Nirbhaya. Rolling from September.” Due to the name given to the film, many have been wondering whether it has anything to do with the Deli gang rape case. But, talking to the leading daily the director said, “The film has no connection to the Delhi gang rape case. This is a totally different subject.”
The director also told the leading daily that the rest of the cast for the film will be finalized in a week’s time. Hopefully we will get to hear more details on the same soon!
