Popular Bollywood actor Sandeep Nahar, known among fans for starring in notable films like Sushant Singh Rajput's MS Dhoni: The Untold Story and Akshay Kumar's Kesari, committed suicide on Monday night. The news of his death was confirmed by the Mumbai Police. Prior to taking the drastic step, the actor posted a detailed suicide note on his social media page, where he revealed the reason for deciding to take his own life and mentioned personal problems as the main reason. In the suicide note, the actor said that his relationship with his wife, Kanchan Sharma, had gone sour. Sandeep died at his residence in Oshiwara in Mumbai, with the city police subsequently filing a case and beginning an investigation. 

Sandeep Nahar's death note is as follows:

I have seen a lot of ups and downs in my life, faced them all, however, I can't bear this trauma. I know committing suicide is an act of cowardice but there is no point in living a life where there is no self-respect and peace. My wife Kanchan Sharma and her mother Vinu Sharma never understood me nor they tried to understand that my wife has a hyper nature. Her personality is different from mine. I can't take it anymore)". 

Speaking about Sandeep Nahar's death, DCP Vishal Thakur of Mumbai Police Zone 11 issued a statement saying, "We have registered ADR in the matter. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan with the help of a bedsheet. His wife informed the Goregaon Police Station about Sandeep's death. Goregaon Police is now investigating the matter." DCP Vishal Thakur further said that Sandeep resided in a flat with his wife in Goregaon West. He added that the actor had gone into his room and locked the door from the inside. After sometime, when his wife noticed there had been no activity, she began banging on Sandeep's door, after which she called the owner of the flat and a carpenter. Upon finally managing to break open the door, they were shocked to find the actor hanging from the ceiling fan. They immediately rushed Sandeep to the hospital where he was declared dead. DCP Vishal Thakur also said, "The body has been sent for post mortem. For now, foul play is not visible. It looks like suicide. However, post mortem report and other inquiry will give more details."
