Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is one of the most wanted directors in Tamil cinema who has shown great promise with his first two films, Maanagaram and Kaithi. His third directorial venture, Master, starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role is completed and is ready for release. Master has got huge expectations among the fans and it is going to be a celebration in the theatres. Despite the OTT wave, the makers of Master have reportedly decided to wait for the theatres to reopen. Master will see Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi locking horns with Vijay and the duo’s face off is going to set the screens on fire. Master has been a project that has managed to excite the fans ever since its announcement and the fans have pinned high hopes on Lokesh Kanagaraj. He is said to have showcased Vijay in a completely different dimension and let us hope to witness it as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the official announcement regarding the young filmmaker’s 4th directorial project has been made and as widely speculated, he would be collaborating with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan for this film. Yes, he would be joining hands with the legendary actor turned politician for a new film that will be produced by the latter’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International. Along with the announcement, the pre look poster has been released and it looks absolutely terrific and exciting. The poster has a tagline that says, "Once Upon a time, there lived a ghost...". This film will be tentatively called 'Kamal Haasan 232', referring to the number of films he's acted so far. According to reports, this film will be a fun action entertainer that will be high on energy and mass and we can expect an electrifying performance from Kamal Haasan. It has also been revealed through the announcement poster that the film will release in summer 2021. 

After the success of Master's songs, rockstar Anirudh Ravichander will be joining hands once again with Lokesh Kanagaraj for the music of this exciting project. Notably, this will be the composer's second film with Kamal Haasan as well. We are informed by our close sources that this film is planned to be shot as a quickie that will go on floors either towards the end of this year or early next year. 

It is said that Kamal Haasan is keen on having a film’s release before the elections. Since Indian 2 might take more time, considering the grand scale of the project, it is said that Kamal Haasan has decided to shoot for this one soon. It is a widely known fact that Lokesh Kanagaraj is an ardent fan of Kamal Haasan and has always expressed his love and admiration for the legendary actor in various events. Interestingly, his last release, Kaithi was an inspiration of Kamal Haasan’s Virumandi.

What Karthik Subbaraj did with Rajinikanth in Petta and Atlee did with Vijay in Theri, Mersal and Bigil, we can expect Lokesh Kanagaraj to do with Kamal Haasan.
