The first look poster of Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi’s Tughlaq Durbar was released yesterday (July 8) and it grabbed the attention of the fans and film buffs. The interestingly designed poster (credits to Gopi Prasannaa) featured Vijay Sethupathi in two different shades, reflecting his character in the film. The super talented star actor will be seen playing the role of a politician in this film that has R Parthiban playing the villain. Aditi Rao Hydari is the female lead while actress Manjima Mohan will be seen playing an important role, as Vijay Sethupathi’s younger sister.

Having said these, the makers have now officially released a new set of photos as a glimpse. These photos look vibrant and going by these, it looks like the film will be high on fun and entertainment. We see Vijay Sethupathi dressed up in white shirt and white veshti as a politician. These newly released photos have been doing good rounds on social media since this morning (July 9).

According to reports, Vijay Sethupathi plays a fraudster politician who undergoes a character transformation after an impactful incident. The makers are yet to complete the shoot and the remaining portions will be shot when the lockdown gets uplifted and everyone is declared safe from the pandemic. Master’s co-producer Lalit Kumar has produced this film under his banner, 7 Screen Studios.

Tughlaq Durbar is directed by debutant Delhi Prasad Deenadayalan and has music scored by 96 sensation Govind Vasantha. Ace cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa has cranked the camera while Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Seethakaathi fame Balaji Tharaneetharan has penned the dialogues. The satellite rights of this political satire film is acquired by Sun TV who released the first look poster yesterday.

Apart from Tughlaq Durbar, Vijay Sethupathi has a few other interesting projects in his kitty, including the mega biggie, Master starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. Kadaisi Vivasayi, Laabam, Maamanithan, Ka Pae Ranasingam, Yaadhum Oorey Yaavarum Kelir, Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Uppena (Telugu), Laal Singh Chaddha (Hindi) are some of his other projects which are in different stages of production.

Makkal Selvan will also be doing a film each with directors Ponram (Rajini Murugan, Varuthapadaatha Vaalibar Sangam fame) and Arumugakumar (Oru Nalla Naal Paathu Solren). For now, check out the newly released photos from Vijay Sethupathi’s Tughlaq Durbar here:
