GALATTA BREAKING: Mafia release date revealed

Director Karthick Naren made a spectacular entry in Tamil cinema with his directorial debut, Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, in 2016, which went on to become a critical as well as commercial success. Post the success of Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, the young filmmaker went on to direct yet another film titled, Naragasooran, which has seen quite a lot of controversy regarding its release and is yet to hit screens. Since then, Karthick Naren has been working on his next project titled, Mafia, with Arun Vijay and Priya Bhavani Shankar as the lead pair and Prasanna playing the antagonist. Billed to be an intense action gangster crime thriller, the film produced under the Lyca Productions banner wrapped up shooting at a quick pace with sources close to us now revealing the makers are planning to bring the film out in theatres on December 5. As of now, an official statement is awaited, which we expect to be made in the days ahead.

There is plenty of excitement surrounding Mafia especially after the film’s action-packed short teaser released a while back received a solid response from fans on social media. The first of two installments, Mafia - Chapter 1, includes a crew featuring composer Jakes Bejoy, cinematographer Gokul Benoy, editor Sreejith Sarang, art director Siva Sankar, stunt choreographer Don Ashok, lyricist Vivek and executive producer Sundarraj.
