Actress Keerthy Suresh was recently announced to be a part of Thalaivar 168 starring Superstar Rajinikanth and directed by Siva. The young and talented actress, who has already worked with leading stars like Thalapathy Vijay, Vikram, and Suriya, will now be sharing screen space with Rajinikanth for the first time. Keerthy was also said to be a part of ace director Mani Ratnam's dream project, Ponniyin Selvan. We had also updated about it to our readers and her presence in the film looked quite positive.

However, it looks like there is going to be a change and we might not happen to see Keerthy in the historical epic film. Yes, sources close to us inform that Keerthy Suresh will not be a part of the film due to date issues. Considering the mammoth scale and the production time, it is said that Keerthy couldn't commit herself into the film. However, Keerthy has got a Superstar film now and she must be happy about it.

Talking about Ponniyin Selvan's star cast, it includes Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles. This magnum opus film will be produced by Lyca Productions, in association with Madras Talkies. The first leg of the film's shooting will begin at Thailand. An official word on Keerthy Suresh's exit is awaited from the production house.
