In tragic news, 24-year-old actress Alexandra Djavi, a Russian national, best known for her appearance in Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana 3, was found dead hanging in her rented home in Siolim, Goa. The local police suspect suicide and have launched an investigation. Officials have stated that the door of Djavi's room was locked from the inside, with an autopsy report currently being awaited. In addition, a request for the appointment of formal representatives in order to process the medico-legal formalities has been made to the Russian Embassy by the Goa Police, according to latest reports. 

Earlier in 2019, Alexandra Djavi, who made a name for herself in modeling, including landing an important role in Raghava Lawrence's Kanchana 3, hit headlines after she filed a police complaint against a Chennai-based photographer for alleged sexual harassment. In her statement, the actress had said that the photographer tried to blackmail her by releasing morphed images on the internet and social media, if she were to not fulfill his demands, after which he was arrested and sent to prison. 

In Kanchana 3, which was directed and starred Raghava Lawrence in the lead role, had Alexandra Djavi playing the role of a girl named Rosie, who later sets out for revenge after turning into a ghost. The film produced jointly by Sun Pictures and Lawrence's Raghavendra Productions went on to become a box office blockbuster, with Djavi featuring in the 'Kadhal Oru Vizhiyil' song alongside the leading Tamil star.
