A film that has piqued the interests of 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi's fans everywhere is the upcoming emotional social drama, Ka Pae Ranasingam. The film has actress Aishwarya Rajesh spearheading the cast as the lead, with Vijay Sethupathi making an appearance in an extended guest role under newcomer P. Virumandi's direction. With the film revealed last week to be coming out on a pay-per-view basis on the newly-launched Zee Plex OTT streaming network, producer Kotapadi J Rajesh's KJR Studios has now announced that Ka Pae Ranasingam will be releasing on October 2 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi. 

KJR Studios made the announcement on their Twitter page and tweeted saying, "The biggest DTH & OTT release you have witnessed so far! 🔥 Watch #KaPaeRanasingam from the comfort of your homes from 2nd of October on @Zeeplexofficial". The film is carrying quite a lot of high expectations among fans after a power-packed teaser was released not long back to a rousing response. The story hinted in the teaser shed light on the struggles of the farmers amidst a political backdrop and the influence of industries on the agricultural community - elements which have since elevated the interests of the fans. Said to be based on a true story, the film also includes Rangaraj Pandey in a vital supporting role as a District Collector. 

Ka Pae Ranasingam includes a stellar technical crew featuring the likes of music by Ghibran, lyrics by 'Kaviperarasu' Vairamuthu, cinematography by NK Ekambaram, dialogues written by Shanmugam Muthusamy, T Shivanandeeswaran for the editing, Lalgudi N Ilayaraja for the art direction and stunt choreography by Peter Hein. 

Apart from the teaser, Ka Pae Ranasingam's promotions took flight after the release of the 'Alagiya Sirukki' single track sung by Gold Devaraj, which has since received a double thumbs up. Featured on the film's lead stars, Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh, the rustic and peppy folk dance track is a foot-tapping number. With the film's release date now announced on Zee Plex, we can expect the makers to come forward with a new announcement and possibly on a trailer in the days ahead.
