One among the several Vijay Sethupathi films that has generated a lot of curiosity among fans of late is the upcoming social drama Ka Pae Ranasingam. Aishwarya Rajesh will be leading the cast of the film, while 'Makkal Selvan' will be making an appearance in an extended guest role. A teaser for the film released not long back received a strong response from fans, with many of them showing interest towards the issues that were highlighted in the visuals such as farmers and their struggles amidst a political backdrop, which also included the influence of industries on the agricultural community. Said to be based on a true story, this P. Virumandi directorial produced under the KJR Studios banner also includes Rangaraj Pandey in a vital supporting role as a District Collector. 

For a while now, there has been considerable debate on Ka Pae Ranasingam's release after reports stated that the film was going to come out on the over-the-top media services (OTT) platform. Having said that, it has now been confirmed officially by Zee that the film will indeed be releasing on its pay-per-view service Zee Plex. A promo for Zee Plex's launch has been released and shows the Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh starrer in their roster, with the film announced to be releasing soon on a pay-per-view basis. 

As of now, no release date for Ka Pae Ranasingam has been announced, which we can expect to be made in the days ahead either by Zee Plex or the film's production banner, KJR Studios. Featuring music by Ghibran, the film includes a stellar technical crew comprising names like NK Ekambaram for the cinematography, dialogues written by Shanmugam Muthusamy, editing done by T Shivanandeeswaran, Lalgudi N Ilayaraja for the art direction and action choreography by Peter Hein. Promotions for the film are well underway as the 'Alagiya Sirukki' single track featuring lyrics by Vairamuthu has received a double thumbs up from fans. The song featured on Vijay Sethupathi and Aishwarya Rajesh is a rustic folk dance number and highlights the romance between their characters.
