Jayam Ravi is right now busy shooting for Mani Ratnam’s historical epic, Ponniyin Selvan, which is produced by Lyca, in association with Madras Talkies. This mega venture also features Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Trisha in lead roles. Ravi is simultaneously gearing up for the release of his 25th film, Bhoomi, which is scheduled to release on May 1. Apart from these two biggies, Ravi also has an exciting project in his kitty in the form of Jana Gana Mana, which is directed by Ahmed of Endrendrum Punnagai and Manithan fame.

Jana Gana Mana, which is touted to be a high-octane action thriller, has been shot in exotic locations in Azerbaijan and Darjeeling. The film features Taapsee Pannu as the female lead and this will be her next film in Kollywood after Game Over. The rest of the cast includes M.S.Bhaskar, Rahman, KGF fame Ramachandra Raju and CCV fame Dayana Erappa. Director Ahmed has officially shared a musical update about the film, thereby also confirming that Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music.

The team had maintained silence all the while and the fans weren’t sure about who will take care of the music and it has now been confirmed to be Yuvan Shankar Raja.
