American rapper and producer Steve Williams fondly called as Stezo passed away on the 29th of April. His cause of death has not been confirmed but reports suggest that he might have had a massive heart attack which eventually got the better of him. Stezo’s death was first confirmed on the morning of April 30 by his producer and DJ Chris Lowe on Twitter. Stezo was 51 years old and was best known for his 1989 hit singles, To the Max and It’s My Turn. Stezo first appeared on the hip-hop scene as a dancer for the group EPMD. After this experience, Stezo sought a career as a hip-hop artist on his own.
In 1989, Stezo signed a record deal with Sleeping Bag Records and released his 12-inch single "To the Max" and eventually a full album Crazy Noise. Stezo handled all rapping and production on the album. The single received some attention around the time it was released. Despite the success of his debut album, Stezo didn't release more music for five years. In 1994, he released the single "Bop Ya Headz" and "Shining Star". The Hip-Hop community is once again gathered in mourning and remembrance after news that rapper Stezo has passed away at the age of 51. As a former dancer for EPMD, Stezo broke out on his own in the late 1980s and went on to establish himself as an entrepreneur.
