Fahadh Faasil, who is currently riding high on the huge success of his last release, Vikram, has officially announced the release plans of his next movie and here are the details about it. Fahadh Faasil's next release will be Malayankunju, the Malayalam survival thriller and it has been officially announced that the film will be out on July 22. For the last few weeks, there were wide speculations that the film will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video, but it looks like the makers have changed their plans, going ahead with a theatrical release.

Malayankunju will be the first-ever Malayalam theatrical release for Fahadh Faasil after the Covid 19 scene and it is going to be interesting to see how the film fares at the box office. Since March 2020, all of Fahadh Faasil's Malayalam movies have had a direct OTT release and Malayankunju will be the first theatrical release. The highlight aspect of Malayankunju happens to be its music which is scored by the legendary A.R.Rahman and his work is definitely going to be one of the major USPs of the movie.

Produced by Fahadh Faasil & Friends, the film features Rajisha Vijayan as the female lead, while the supporting cast includes the likes of Indrans, Jaffar Idukki and Deepak Parambol. Directed by Sajimon Prabhakar, the film has been edited by Arjun Benn, with production design taken care of by Jothish Shankar. Mahesh Narayanan of Take Off and Malik fame has penned the screenplay. Malayankunju has been certified with a clean U certificate and will hit the screens on July 22, as announced.

Meanwhile, Fahadh Faasil is currently busy acting in Maamannan, his next Tamil film which is directed by Mari Selvaraj. Udhayanidhi Stalin and Keerthy Suresh play the leads in this film that has Vaigaipuyal Vadivelu playing a vital character.
