The highly anticipated Suriya starrer Soorarai Pottru will have its world premiere in the next few hours and the fans are super excited to catch the film. It has been a long journey and Soorarai Pottru has been a film that has managed to create a buzz ever since its announcement. Owing to the current pandemic situation, Suriya's Soorarai Pottru will have a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video platform tonight at 12 AM. The film has shown great promise through its teaser, trailer, songs and the promos and going by the momentum, the film is touted to earn positive reviews from the audience. Ahead of the release, the film has been screened to selective personalities from the film industry and the positive reviews have already started to come out.

Director KV Anand who has worked with Suriya in movies like Ayan, Maattrraan and Kaappaan, was one of the fortunate ones who got to see the film much before others. Similarly, director JJ Fredrick who made his debut with Jyotika's Ponmagal Vandhal also had some positive words to say about the film. He was all praise for the entire team of Soorarai Pottru and told the fans that the film will be a big Diwali treat for them. Soorarai Pottru is directed by Sudha Kongara and produced by 2D Entertainment, in association with Guneet Monga's Sikhya Entertainment. With music scored by GV Prakash Kumar, the film features Sarvam Thaala Mayam fame Aparna Balamurali as the female lead. The film is based on the life story of Captain GR Gopinath and the film is touted to be an inspirational drama. The film has promised to showcase Suriya in a different dimension and going by the early reviews, it looks like Sudha Kongara has indeed succeeded in delivering a well-packaged film.
