Director Hari reduces salary by 25% for Suriyas Aruva
The Corona Pandemic has badly affected the Tamil film industry, several producers are eagerly waiting for the lockdown to be released completely so that they can release their films on theatre and payback their financiers. Several producers have been insisting their actors and directors to reduce their salary during this crisis. Director Hari has now announced that he will be reducing his salary by 25% for his next film Aruva. Hari’s statement reads as follows: “Our Tamil film industry has taken a huge hit due to this Corona pandemic, only if we are loyal to our producers during this crisis, our industry can back to normalcy. Keeping this situation in mind, I have decided to reduce my salary by 25% for my next film Aruva.” Quite a noble gesture from Hari, we hope the other directors follow suit
It is well-known that Hari’s will be teaming with Suriya for an action flick titled Aruva which would be produced by Studio Green. It was also clarified that it would not be a part of the Singam franchise and that it would be a standalone project. D Imman would be scoring the music for this project and Aruvaa marks the sixth collaboration between Suriya and Hari, following the 3 Singam movies, Vel and Aaru. D Imman is joining hands with Hari and Suriya for the first time. Raashi Khanna has been roped in to play the female lead for this project. Aruvaa was scheduled to start shooting in April and be completed in a single schedule with the release having been planned for this year's Deepavali. However, with all shooting being suspended because of the Corona Virus Pandemic, we will have to wait and see as to when shooting begins.
