Dhanush’s untitled next, #D43, directed by Karthick Naren, was officially launched this morning (January 8) with a special pooja. The shooting will also begin from today in Chennai. This action drama will be produced by TG Thyagarajan’s Sathya Jyothi Films and will have music scored by GV Prakash. This film will mark the composer’s fifth project with Dhanush after Polladhavan, Aadukalam, Mayakkam Enna, and Asuran and since their combination has a successful track record, we can expect the music of D43 to come out really well. The shooting begins today with a song shoot and this will be the opening song of the movie. GV Prakash mentioned that this song is crooned by Dhanush and penned by lyricist Vivek.

Talking about the song, GV Prakash tweeted, “#D43 song shoot starts today ... the opening track sung by @dhanushkraja written by @Lyricist_Vivek will be a #BadAss stylish mass track ..@SathyaJyothi_ @karthicknaren_M @AlwaysJani Choreo". This intro song will be choreographed by Jani Master, the man behind some of the viral hit numbers including 'Rowdy Baby' (along with Prabhu Deva), 'Chill Bro', and more. Dhanush had a rehearsal for the song shoot yesterday (Jan 7) and a glimpse of the rehearsal was shared by Jani Master on Twitter.

D43 will feature Master heroine, Malavika Mohanan as the female lead, and her pairing with Dhanush is going to look fresh on-screen. Thadam and Mookuthi Amman fame Smruthi Venkat plays an important role in the film and she is said to essay the character of Dhanush’s younger sister. After the success of Velai Illa Pattathaari and Vada Chennai, Samuthirakani will share screen space with Dhanush in this film and the fans are already looking forward to their combination scenes.

After making an impressive debut with Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru, Karthick Naren became one of the promising next-gen filmmakers in Tamil cinema. However, his second release, Mafia: Chapter One received a mixed response from the fans and critics. Let us hope and wish that he comes back stronger with D43 which is expected to release, later this year. Dhanush seems to be on a roll, shooting for various films back to back without much break. After completing the final schedules of Karnan and Atrangi Re, he recently took part in the photoshoot of his next with Selvaraghavan. Now, he has begun shooting for D43.
