The highly anticipated trailer for Kangana Ranaut’s long-awaited film Dhaakad is finally here as it was released yesterday (April 29). Kangana as Agent Agni is more than ready to set screens on fire with her fiery and explosive avatar. The film seems to center around Kangana Ranaut’s character as she attempts to take down the baddies in the film. It is exciting to see Arjun Rampal take on the role of that of a villain once again in this high-octane action-thriller which has left fans gobsmacked with his transformation. We also get glimpses of Kangana’s chameleon-like persona in the trailer as she is seen donning various avatars throughout its run.
We get a glimpse of what Agent Agni is after in the trailer. She is hellbent on tracking down Asia’s biggest human trafficking syndicate operating from the coal mine of central India. Ranaut's character has to crack the case and stop these goons but it looks like it would lead to her spiraling back into some dark memories of her past that still haunts her.
The action sequences are exhilarating, hyper-realistic, and executed to perfection. Kangana does a great job on looking fierce and dangerous formidable and fierce but what makes it better is the fact that she is made to clash with a villain who matches her level of fierceness with Arjun Rampal being a formidable antagonist that she will have to face.
Directed by Razneesh 'Razy' Ghai' and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai under banners of Soham Rockstar Entertainment, Sohel Maklai Productions and Asylum films, Dhaakad is scheduled to release on 20 May 2022 and is said to be Bollywood’s first spy thriller led by a female star as well as India's first big-scale multilingual project to be headlined by a female actor. Apart from Kangana Ranaut, the film also features Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutt, and Saswata Chatterjee in lead roles.
