Rajinikanth's Darbar motion poster - mass announcement!

One of the most anticipated films in recent times, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Darbar being directed by A. R. Murugadoss recently wrapped up production and is gearing up for a Pongal 2020 release. A Lyca Productions venture, Darbar is an action cop drama and also includes composer Anirudh Ravichander returning to score music for a Rajinikanth film after delivering chartbuster songs in Petta earlier this year. With Anirudh celebrating his birthday today, the hit music director took to his Twitter page to drop a massive announcement saying the Darbar motion poster with a special theme music for ‘Thalaivar’ fans everywhere will be released on November 7. Fans await yet another cracker of a theme track from Anirudh, who left us all impressed with his Kaali theme from Petta earlier.

There is massive excitement surrounding Darbar as the film will see Rajinikanth as a top ranking police official while the film’s antagonist, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is said to be playing the role of a head of a multinational corporation. Furthermore, the film has ‘Thalaivar’ paired opposite Nayanthara for the fourth time and had in the past starred in Chandramukhi, Kuselan and Sivaji. Darbar has Rajinikanth donning the khakhi after a gap of 28 years when he played a cop in Pandyan with Bollywood actor Prateik Babbar also said to be playing a role with negative shades followed by Yogi Babu for the comedy in the film.
