The coronavirus pandemic situation has badly affected the daily livelihood of people all over the world. India has crossed over 1 lakh cases and it is still unclear as to when the situation will get back to normalcy. Meanwhile, producer Boney Kapoor, in an official statement, has revealed that his domestic help has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The servant, who is reportedly called Charan Sahu, is 23 years old, and he is currently getting treated at a private hospital in Mumbai. 

​​​​​Boney Kapoor clarified that neither him nor his two daughters (Janhvi Kapoor and Kushi Kapoor) have shown any symptoms for Coronavirus so far. He also added that his family members are self-quarantined as a precautionary measure. Boney Kapoor’s official press statement read, "Myself, my Children and the other staff at home are all fine and none of us are showing any symptoms. In fact we haven’t left our home since the Lockdown started. We are thankful to the Govt of Maharashtra and BMC for their swift response.

We shall be diligently following the instructions and advice given to us by BMC and their medical team. We are sure that Charan would soon recover and be back at home with us.” On the professional front, Boney Kapoor is producing Thala Ajith’s next outing, Valimai, directed by H Vinoth. This action thriller will feature Ajith as a cop. Apart from Valimai, Boney Kapoor is also producing Maidaan in Hindi with Ajay Devgn.
