Maria Juliana created a huge buzz after storming her way on the headlines of news channels in Tamil Nadu in 2017 by being one among the many prominent faces to lead the Jallikattu protests. She went on to raise a number of big questions during the movement, which garnered a lot of attention around the country, including various parts of the world. Post the TN Jallikattu protests, it came as a major surprise when Julie announced her entry into the hit Tamil reality TV show, Bigg Boss, in its first season. After her stint on Bigg Boss Tamil season 1, Julie landed several endorsements, while also making special appearances in Vemal's Mannar Vagaiyara and Hiphop Tamizha's Naan Sirithal. 

Although not as active in mainstream media as before, Julie turns heads each time she posts photos or videos on her Instagram page and has garnered a huge following on social media. She has been stunning fans of late with a new makeover and looks prettier than ever in her pictures of late, including a recent beach photo shoot that left fans wanting for more. In that light, Julie took to her Instagram page once again and this time to show her singing skills by singing the smash hit 'Ninaithu Ninaithu' song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja in Selvaraghavan's blockbuster 7/G Rainbow Colony. 

Julie has been active on her social media page by posting pictures from photo shoots, while last year also revealing that she will be making a big film announcement soon. Julie's upcoming film projects include the devotional thriller, Amman Thayee, with its promos and trailer released sometime back on social media. She will also be seen in a film titled Polladha Ulagil Bayangara Game (PUBG) alongside Bigg Boss Tamil season 2's Aishwarya Dutta, including another venture titled Utthami and an untitled project, which last heard had kicked off with a formal puja.
