Arun Vijay’s career is on an all-time high, his choice of films has been quite impressive in the recent past. After enjoying back to back success with Chekka Chivantha Vaanam and the crime thriller Thadam, actor Arun Vijay is not in a mood of relaxing for a while. The actor who is on a work spree is waiting to get back in action to shoot for his upcoming films. His last release Mafia didn’t do well at the box office but he would be ready to bounce back with his next. He has Sinam and Agni Siragugal in the pipeline apart from the long-pending project Boxer.  
 
He has been toiling hard for Boxer. Touted to be a sports entertainer speckled with patriotism, the film is written and directed by Vivek and produced by Mathiyalagan of Etcetera Entertainment. But it looks like something is not well between Boxer producer Mathiyalagan and Arun Vijay. Yesterday the producer had tweeted that there will be an announcement on Boxer today at 5 PM but Arun Vijay has today tweeted asking fans to wait for an update from his side. 
 
Mathiyalagan yesterday said - “Boxer the film very close to our hearty after lots of struggles start rollling again with excitement announcement to us keep waiting for friends @Hemarukmani1.” Contradicting to Mathiyalagan’s tweet Arun Vijay has issued a statement saying that he needs clarity from the production house to restart the project.  
 
This is what Arun Vijay had to say - “Hi everyone, A lot of you have been asking me about my film #BOXER for which I am equally excited as you all.. I had been working very hard to prepare myself for the said project, but have not started full-fledged filming yet. As this movie requires a lot of effort & commitment both physically and mentally, it has to be worked on a time frame which can only be done with clarity from the production house. So kindly wait for an official update from my side regarding the project. Thank you, AV. P.S. Until then here's a pic for you'll....” 
 
The film will have music composed by Leon James, while Markus A. Ljunberg, a London based Cinematographer will be the man behind the lens and editing will be done by Madan. Ritika Singh of 'Irudhi Suttru' fame plays the female lead in the film and will be seen playing a sports journalist in the film.
