Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran has acted in a handful of Tamil movies like Kana Kandean, Mozhi, Raavanan, and Kavya Thalaivan. Not just as a hero, Prithviraj is among the most wanted list for his directorial skills. Yes, the versatile actor recently made his directorial debut with Lucifer featuring Mohanlal in the lead. Prithviraj also played an extended cameo in the film which went on to become the biggest hit of the year for a Malayalam film. The script of Lucifer was written by Murali Gopi who is currently working on its sequel which has been titled L2: Empuraan. This sequel is still in the pre-production phase and will start rolling in the second half of 2020. Meanwhile, Prithviraj has given us an exhilarating update on L2: Empuraan. The script for this sequel has been locked and the director is super happy with the way it has turned out. Prithvi took to his social media space to share a few words about his meeting with scriptwriter Murali Gopi: “At the writers den! My eyes are so wide coz I’m thinking how in the world am i going to shoot what he’s just told me! 👀 #L2.”

Apart from Mohanlal, Lucifer has a huge list of supporting actors including Vivek Oberoi (in his Malayalam debut), Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Saniya Iyappan, Saikumar, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Nyla Usha, and Prithviraj Sukumaran himself. Deepak Dev composed the music for the film, and the cinematography was handled by Sujith Vaassudev.
