Tamil actor-politician Khushbu Sundar's elder brother passed away on Saturday, December 17. She announced the sad news and bid farewell to her brother in her condolence message on social media and extended her gratitude to all those who prayed for his recovery and sent their love. Khushbu wrote on Twitter, "As much as you want your loved ones to be with you forever,time comes to say goodbye. My brother's journey has ended today. His love & guidance will always be us. I thank everyone who have prayed for him. As they say,the journey of life is decided by God. Rest in peace #Bhaijaan." Below is her tweet:

Several notable Tamil cinema personalities have been paying their condolences to Khushbu after hearing the news of her brother's passing. Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu wrote on Twitter, "Omg my deepest condolences". VJ-actor Ramya Subramanian tweeted, "Very very sorry for your loss Khush Mam.My deep condolences and may his soul rest in peace." Producer Hema Rukmani said, "So sorry for your loss. Our heartfelt condolences to you and family. Om shanthi" Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty commented writing, "Heart felt condolences… may god give you and the family the strength to overcome this huge loss 🙏".

Khushbu had revealed earlier this week that she had to stay away from social media for a while in order to attend to her brother's health crisis. She had informed on Twitter that the eldest of her three siblings had been put on a ventilator and was struggling for his life. Khushbu said, "Been off for a while due to personal crisis. My eldest brother has been struggling and battling for life. He has been on a ventilator for the last 4 days. Just a tiny weeny improvement is showing today. Please include him in all your prayers.
